Understanding Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment can be a little complicated to understand. The basic premise is that each wheel is angled so it tracks straight and true along the tarmac. This makes for optimal handling, safety, tire wear, and ride comfort. A wheel alignment service analyses three different angles of each wheel, making any necessary adjustments to correct any errors.

The three angles measured and adjusted are called camber, caster, and toe. Together, these look at the vertical alignment, the angle from front to back, and whether the wheels point inwards or outwards.
